The 73^rd Annual General Meeting and Annual Convention of the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association were held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo on 4th December 2021.

Dr. Erandika Gunawardena, the President of the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association & Dr. Sugath Pemachandra, Secretary of the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association warmly welcomed the distinguished guests at the Annual Convention.

Dr. Susantha Mallawa Arachchi was elected as the new President of the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association at the Annual General Meeting held at the event.

Chief Guest Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa, Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Guest of Honour, Hon. D. B. Herath, State Minister of Livestock, Farm promotion, Dairy and Egg related Industries and the special guest Mr. Andrew Traveller, Deputy High Commissioner, New Zealand High Commission, Colombo at New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade were warmly welcomed by the President Dr. Erandika Gunawardena and the Secretary Dr. Sugath Pemachandra of Sri Lanka Veterinary Association. Members of the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association were also present at the event.
