The 74^th Annual General Meeting and Annual Convention of the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association were held at the hotel Monarch Imperial Sri Jayawardanapura Kotte on 23^rd December 2022.

Dr. Susantha Mallwa Arachchi, the President of the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association & Dr. Mrs. Chamari Kannangara, Secretary of the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association warmly welcomed the distinguished guests at the Annual Convention.

Dr. Dilan Satharasinghe was elected as the new President of the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association at the 74th Annual General Meeting & the 75^th Executive Committee was appointed there in.

His Excellency Gopal Baglay, the High Commissioner of India, graced the occasion as the chief guest and Prof. H.D Karunarathne, Vice Chancellor, University of Colombo graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour & keynote speaker.

Two eminent veterinarians, Prof. emeritus Indira Silva & Dr. H.M.A Chandrasoma were felicitated by the 74th Executive committee at the annual convention for their distinguish service rendered to the development of veterinary profession in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Gunadasa Samarasinghe Secretary to the ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Mrs Hemali Kothalawala Director General of Department of Animal Production & Health, Prof Anil Pushpakumara Dean Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science University of Peradeniya were among the special invitees of the event.

More than 400 veterinarians & special invitees participated at the event.
